Becoming an Early Childhood Educator Essay Example for Free
Becoming an Early Childhood Educator Essay U. S. President Barack Obama emphasized on the importance of education in a country for not only one time. He believe that education provide the opportunities to every single citizen to work on their strengths and ability to fulfill their responsibilities to the country by contribution on specific career in order to build up a strong country. I strongly agree with his point of view as education is not an individual responsibility but to all. Education is the basis of a country in order to strengthen the economic status and development. Thus, itââ¬â¢s our responsible toward the society and nation to educate our next generation by provide a positive social and physical environment to instill wholesome character building in young children. Society now day faces variety of problem especially family issue that commonly happens include child abuse, divorce cases, youngster tend to run away from home, abandoned baby and etc. One of the factors that caused these issues is lack of realization on importance of education. There is a quote stated: If we would amend the world, we should mend our selves; and teach our children to be, not what we are, but what they should be. Quote by: WILLIAM PENN, Some Fruits of Solitude) Most of the parent didnââ¬â¢t realize their responsibility to their child as a role model in the growth of their children during childhood period. They might lack of exposure on the importance of early childhood education, or they unconsciously neglected their childrenââ¬â¢s need due to financial pressure in order to provide and maintaining the living standard of family. Thus, itââ¬â¢s our responsible as an educator to assist the parent on educating our next generation. It is my pleasure to meet a truly dedicated teacher in my life, although she was only teaching me as my class teacher for 1 year but her contribution and the bonding between me and she has brought the greater impact to my life. Compare to the teachers of old time with today, sadly to say, there are not much improvement among the quality of educator. Most of the educator are work for survive, they are lack of the passion and realization on their role and responsibilities, perhaps they do not know how to apply their knowledge on teaching method skillfully. In fact, it is the greater satisfaction as an educator to witness the growth of a child from innocence young age to a mature child. This is a most important period to instill a positive personality in a child as the behavior he practicing now will bring toward to adulthood and became his characteristic. The greater success of an educator is not the quantity of reward, but the recognition of the effort by the parent, student and society. The most precious and valuable achievement is to witness the success of wholesome character building on a child when they turned to an adult and continue influence the people around them with positive attitude. It is hard to achieve the objective of education with single contribution. Therefore it is important to bring together all the educators who having same ideology to work together as a role model to influence people around include the parent, children and colleagues to understand the importance of education. The main responsible of an early childhood educator is to instill the positive character to a child to develop wholesome character include sense of belonging, sense of responsibility, positive moral value, lifelong interest on learning, curiosity to the world and mentally and physically healthy and wealthy. Teacher as the second person after the parent as the role model to a child should practicing good behavior and attitude. Besides, a good teacher knows how to apply the knowledge skillfully to help children adapt to the knowledge on their level of understanding without killing their curiosity to the world. On the other hand, educator also played an important role to the parent because society in Malaysia now day is improving along with the realization on the importance of education. However, although the parent understands the importance of education, they are still lack of information in term of knowledge and skill to apply on their children. They are keen to seek for professional advancer and services as the agent of education to their children. In fact, this is a big step for the society; educator should always work closely and collaboratively with parent to encourage them involve in their childââ¬â¢s learning process to create love and caring environment for the children. The philosophy of a preschool setting that believed and practiced by the entire organization included administrator and teachers determine the process of achieving the goal of an organization. Same goes to personal philosophy held by a teacher, it is important to work collaboratively on behalf of childrenââ¬â¢s interest regardless personal identity and background. Teachers should be always ready to lend their hand to each other and strive for improvement together by sharing information and joining workshop, seminar or training together. Whenever there is dilemma, teacher should ask for the comment and suggestion without hesitate from senior colleague who willing to share their experiences and solve the problem together. Beside, teacher also played a role on providing a safe, healthy, loving and caring environment to young learner to develop sense of belonging and bonding among the children by always staying alert on potential danger and awareness on childââ¬â¢s behavior, health, physical and mental needs. Teacher should be always practicing 3R which is responsive, respect and reciprocal. Consistently interaction with the children is needed to understand childââ¬â¢s unique character and develop trust and respect relationship among children. However, teacher should allow necessary independent learning and respect childââ¬â¢s right in order to foster the development of children to prepare the children to be ready for the future challenges in their life. Knowledge on young children development is very important for educator. Therefore educator should be always seeking for improvement to provide highest quality service to the children. A knowledgeable teacher is always stay well informed on the latest update on government decision on education such as changing school syllabus and assessment for the student. Beside, by participate in variety of workshop, seminar and training; teacher will learn different teaching method to adapt childrenââ¬â¢s development milestone. Same goes to courses that offer in colleges and local university; it will improve the qualification and knowledge of teacher. By joining professional association, teacher will be always staying informed on the latest teaching approach and able to seek for professional comment from others. On the other hand, teaching should be stay adventurous when applying new skill to the children, learn from trial and error by observation and self reflection consistently. Teacher should be sensitive on childââ¬â¢s development to evaluate and improving the teaching method creatively in practical way. By understanding different learning pattern of the children, teacher should apply knowledge and skills in plenty ways for children to adapt to the knowledge. In conclusion, a professional early childhood educator should be having mental and physical readily with positive and optimistic attitude, be ready to takes up responsible and handle every dilemma and always strive for improvement. It is very important for an educator understand his/her role on the position held and to be flexible to adapt every changes and different situation. Lastly, enjoyment for the satisfaction of teaching will lead the educator to longer journey as time goes by because You never know how much itââ¬â¢s worth until its gone.

Lockhart1 Taylor Lockhart B4 Thoughtful Laughter in The Importance of Being Earnest The Importance of Being Earnest Written, written in 1854, by Oscar Wilde, discusses many social matters occurring in the 19th century. Since The Importance of Being Earnest is a comedy, it ââ¬Å"awakens thoughtful laughterâ⬠(George Meredith). This comedic play often awakens thoughtful laughter, or laughter that makes someone ponder more about important issues. One of many of the primary instances of this is created by the ideas of marriage and love is a social device during this era. The characters didnââ¬â¢t fall in love because there was a romantic spark or that they felt a love connection with one another, they fell in love because the people they loved had a specific name, history, physical characteristics or economic status. Gwendolen confesses to Jack, or his confidante Ernest, ââ¬Å"The moment Algernon first mentioned to me that he had a friend called Ernest, I knew I was destined to love youâ⬠(10). That quote proved that Gwendolenââ¬â¢s drive to marry ââ¬Å"Ernestâ⬠for him having the name Ernest, rather than marrying him for his character. Cecily also confesses something along the same lines as Gwendolen to Algernon, that even though she had never met him before she fell in love with him: ââ¬Å"Well, ever since dear Uncle Jack first confessed to us that he had a younger brother who was very wicked and bad, you of course have formed the chief topic of conversationâ⬠¦a man who is much talked about is always very attractiveâ⬠¦I daresay it was foolish of me, but I fell in love with you, Ernestâ⬠(32). She is led to believe that Algernonââ¬â¢s real name is Ernest. Cecily and Gwendolen are attracted to Jack and ââ¬Å"Ernestâ⬠because of their histories. Gwendolen wa s excited to find o... ...Lady Bracknell was excited to hear that Cecily has wealth; she almost instantaneously consented to her marriage to Algernon. Wilde uncovers the frivolousness of their proclaimed love by displaying how Lady Bracknell would only consent for Lockhart 3 marriage if the partner came from a wealthy background, instead of falling in love because you actually loved that person. Wilde ââ¬Å"awoke laughterâ⬠in The Importance of Being Earnest. Wilde showed rather than falling in love because you actually liked a person, the people of the Victorian Era fell in love solely on minute details such as physical features, a personââ¬â¢s name, or how much wealth they had. The comedy comes into play when Wilde pokes fun at the process of falling in love, because the characters rush falling in love with the right person, the audience compares the characterââ¬â¢s reality with the worldââ¬â¢s reality.

Research Paper NT1430 Essay
When it comes to IPv6 there are a lot of topics that can be discussed. It will change the Internet forever as we know it. IPv4 is the fourth version of protocol using a 32 bit address space whereas IPv6 will be using 128 bits of hexadecimal addressing to allow for drastically more addresses. Currently IPv4 allows roughly 4,294,967,296 possible addresses and with the current allocation practices it limits the number of public address to a few hundred million. In contrast, the 128 bit address space that IPv6 uses can provide roughly 3.4 x 1038 possible addresses. The sheer size of the IPv6 address allows for the subdividing of the address into a hierarchical routing structure that in turn can reflect the current topology of the Internet. This will provide great flexibility for the addressing and routing in the future where the IPv4 obviously lacks in comparison. It would hard to imagine a world where we do have anymore Internet addresses to go around. This should hopefully solve that problem, at least for a while to come. When configuring DHCP on Linux to use IPv6 one must be sure that they have everything in order. The two most used means of auto configuration IPS are on the router advertisement and dhcpv6. When you are using the RA a server daemon needs to advertise a network prefix which is typically a /64, gateway and sometimes a DNS server. Then the Client machines can auto configure their IPv6 addresses when they have initialized a bootup based on their current MAC address using EUI64. When addressing the same situation with dhcpv6, dynamic or static addresses can always be assigned to the current client machines. Unfortunately the gateways cannot be assigned due to the design of the dhcpv6 protocol. If you must use dhcpv6 you have to use RA. You can configure RA to advertise only the gateway leaving the IP and DNS server configuration all up to the dhcpv6, or only the DNS servers. In order to run dhcpd in IPv6 mode youà need to add a -6 argument. The arguments should define the configuration file and lease file. Here is an example of a startup command; /usr/sbin/dhcp -6 ââ¬âcd/etc/dhcpd6.conf ââ¬âlf/var/state/dhcpd6.leases eth1. The -6 enables the IPv6 mode and the ââ¬âcf defines the IPv6 configuration file. Hereââ¬â¢s an example of the dhcpd6.conf; # dhcpd6.conf authoritative; option dhcp6.name-servers 2001;db8;1;1;;200; option dhcp6.domain-search ââ¬Ëinternal.1anââ¬â¢; In conclusion, I hope that after this you understand why IPv6 is such a game changer and why it is so important for our world going forward. Without it our planet would cease to exist and everything would stop. Obviously IPv4 is still around and will be for a few more years, but the days of thinking that IPv4 would last forever or definitely over and itââ¬â¢s time for something new will hopefully last a little longer. Native American Culture Essay
Estrangement is the state of being withdrawn or isolated from the objective world, as through indifference or disaffection. Ill-advisedly, the protagonist from ââ¬Å"The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heavenâ⬠is forever bound in this state of mind. His internal conflicts enthrall between fighting for his Native American ethnicity, and, finding his purpose to this world. This link between the two becomes a challenge due to his pessimistic, and protective attitude for his race. The narratorââ¬â¢s volatile actions imply his frustration towards the discrimination against his native Spokane reservation heritage. The protagonistsââ¬â¢ Native American upbringing intertwined with White culture challenges his Red and White thinking. The protagonistsââ¬â¢ family style upbringing has distilled values that are outlived in his Native American identity. Unfortunately, the protagonist is quite protective of his Native American descent. In fact, his view of people is quite pessimistic towards the Native American race. This rigidness to his ethnicity is foretold in two parts. As humans, we are first born with an identity that is kept close to us, such as Native American, African American, or Grecian. Although we are born with uniqueness; the values we instill to our race are brought about through parentââ¬â¢s effort in raising their children. For Sherman Alexie, heââ¬â¢d developed a cynical character who bares strong connections to his Native American race. The protagonistââ¬â¢s existence and demeanor is uncanny because heââ¬â¢d been destined for a life of prosperity through public schooling and a college education. Found here, ââ¬Å"But I was special, a former college student, a smart kid. I was one of those Indians who was supposed to make it. I was a new kind of warrior. â⬠This quote reveals his sense of insecurity concerning his life thus far and how he has not lived up to his expectations. ââ¬Å"The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heavenâ⬠exposes a few scenes where the main character is fighting for ethical freedom outside of Spokane. The protagonistââ¬â¢s discriminative experiences begin at a convenience store in Seattle where he feels like a predator lurking amongst his preys. As stated, ââ¬Å"He looked me over so he could describe me to the police later. â⬠The protagonist was familiar with this wicked look; as heââ¬â¢d lost a close relationship to its devilish hands once before. His loss began like this, ââ¬Å"When one person starts to look at another like a criminal, then the love is over. â⬠As Native American, these adverse impressions occur randomly as seen through the Police incident. In this scene, the protagonist had been pulled over in a wealthy neighborhood by the police officer, ââ¬Å"Youââ¬â¢re making people nervous. You donââ¬â¢t fit the profile of the neighborhood. â⬠This was a friendly way of saying; you are not wanted in this area, please leave. These occurrences are upsetting to the narrator as they have affected his view of Whites. As the protagonist becomes disgusted with life, he packs his belongings and heads home to Spokane in Washington State. While home, he realizes that connecting to his family and finding peace is not easy. His weak-minded thinking is foreseen here,â⬠Theyââ¬â¢d been expecting me back the day I left for Seattle. Thereââ¬â¢s an old Indian poet who said that Indians can reside in the city, but they can never live there. â⬠In fact, while living in Seattle, his dreams became nightmares of a vivid war scene between the Redââ¬â¢s and Whites. The Indians became slaughtered by the Whites and at one point, ââ¬Å"Three mounted soldiers played polo with a dead Indian womanââ¬â¢s head. â⬠This graphic image stays with him as he found accounts of this madness occurred in the old west and in parts of the world today. The protagonistââ¬â¢s dreams and Native American ethnicity have instilled protective beliefs to his ethnicity and real life demeanor towards others. Although heââ¬â¢s strong-willed concerning his background, insecurity remains present. One instance occurs where he starts a job in Spokane at the local high school exchange program. He answers phone calls and asks himself, ââ¬Å"Sometimes I wonder if the people on the other end of the line know that Iââ¬â¢m Indian and if their voices would change if they did know. â⬠His insecurity exponentially evolves to every facet in his life and only exacerbates his pessimistic attitude. The cynical behavior by the protagonist has incurred due to several discriminatory experiences. One being, the protagonistââ¬â¢s cup is full; which allows him to believe this Red vs. White rivalry will never change. Because of his ignorance, he leaves no trust to anyone and is forced to run when he encounters discrimination. One situation that symbolizes the protagonistââ¬â¢s doubtful thoughts is encountered at his hometown basketball court. He comes home to find the new BIA chiefââ¬â¢s White kid named Jimmy Seyler who can play ball. ââ¬Å"And he could play. He played Indian ball, fast and loose, better than all the Indians there. â⬠That night, Jimmy whooped on every Indian who played Basketball. I recognize this as a change of tone and direction in the protagonistââ¬â¢s life. At this point in time, he realizes that he must submit to his Red vs. White rivalry in order to move forward in his life. Just as Jimmy will advance and become an NBA star, the gap between the two races, White and Indian will only become larger. Indianââ¬â¢s will control the small reservation plains out West while the White culture advances to become a powerhouse figure in the United States of America. Hereafter this epiphany, the protagonistââ¬â¢s life begins to move forward as he starts a new job and connects with his ex-girlfriend once again.

How Santas Reindeer Got Their Names
How Santa's Reindeer Got Their Names If you ask the average American to name Santas reindeer, the first name to pop up will probably beà Rudolphà (the Red-Nosed Reindeer). The next two would no doubt beà Donnerà andà Blitzen. But is this correct? And where did these names come from? Origin of Reindeer Names The popular Christmas songà ââ¬Å"Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeerâ⬠was a 1949 hit tune sung and recorded by Gene Autry and based on a character originally created by a marketing team for Montgomery Ward in 1939. The lyrics were written byà Johnny Marks, who borrowed most of the reindeer names from the classic 1823 poem ââ¬Å"A Visit from Saint Nicholasâ⬠(more commonly known as ââ¬Å"Twas the Night before Christmasâ⬠) by Major Henry Livingston, Jr. (Historically,à Clement Clarke Moore has been credited for the poem, but most scholars now believe Livingston to have been the poet.) The original poem refers to ââ¬Å"eight tiny reindeerâ⬠(Rudolph actually makes it nine tiny reindeer) and names them: ââ¬Å"Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now Prancer and Vixen!/On, Comet! on, Cupid! on Dunder and Blixem!â⬠Later Versions Dunder and Blixem? Youve always heard Donner and Blitzen, right? The former were Dutch names written into the poem by Livingston. Only in later versions, modified by Moore in 1844, were the two names changed to German:à Donderà (close toà Donner, thunder) andà Blitzenà (lightning), to better rhyme with Vixen. Finally, for some reason, in the song ââ¬Å"Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeerâ⬠Marks turned Donder into Donner. Whether Marks made the change because he knew German or because it just sounded better is uncertain.* In any event, there is certainly some logic in using Germanà Donnerà andà Blitzenà (thunder and lightning) for the names. Since 1950 or so, the two reindeer names have beenà Donnerà andà Blitzenà in both ââ¬Å"Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeerâ⬠à and the ââ¬Å"Aà Visità from Saint Nicholas.

Skydeck is preferred by the tourists who are motivated by the features of the Eureka Skydeck and the uniqueness of the experience that it gives. According to the travel-motivation theory by Gray (1979), the consumers choose the travel destination based on the two motives, one is to travel from a known place to unknown place, known as the ââ¬ËWanderlustââ¬â¢ and the other is to travel with a specific purpose to avail some facilities not available at the residential place, known as ââ¬ËSunlustââ¬â¢. These are the mostly the recreational, pleasure, cultural experience, shopping and new experiences (Chen and Chen 2015). In case of the Eureka Skydeck, people come here to have new experience, following the ââ¬Ësunlustââ¬â¢ motivation. It can be said that, people love to visit the Eureka Skydeck in the Southbank of Melbourne to get the best view of the city from the tallest observation deck in the Southern Hemisphere. At a minimum cost, the tourists want to get a unique experience, which reflects the motivation of sunlust as well as due to the push and pull factors of the Skydeck. Eureka Skydeck is a must see attraction of Melbourne that provides all the modern facilities to the tourists apart from the marvelous view of the city. From gifts to dining experience, Eureka Vertigo and the Edge are the additional factors that drive the tourists to the Skydeck and make an incredible memory for the lifetime. Importance of Following Rules and Regulations Essay
Importance of Following Rules and Regulations - Essay Example The rules are appointed for the benefit of all by a higher command. This allows the experience of experts to be brought into the lives of inexperienced people. Each person can position himself or herself more easily within a clear and consistent framework. This requirement to take up a position and follow rules and regulations is most obvious in the military. The Navy, for example, as part of the United States government, establishes its own requirements for all its staff to follow. It has a high level of responsibility, and the only way to guarantee that this responsibility is carried out, is to ensure that the command chain is observed. The rules allow the senior officers to steer all members in the required direction. The importance of command is that it guides and helps the members to uphold the rules. It must ensure that this happens, and that any errors or omissions are followed up and corrected. At times the rules may seem to make little sense to junior members of the Navy, but the main point of the command system is to train everyone in following the rules with professionalism and discipline. This is what marks out the military from civilian life and it can mean the difference between life and death in some situations. The service operates as a tightly controlled unit, and this is why it is important to follow its rules and
